Frequently Asked Questions
-
What comes in this bundle?
Two boxes: the Blaze TurboTwist Racer Set and the TurboTwist Boost Pack. The set holds the Blaze monster truck, 108 glow-in-the-dark track pieces, the Speedy Loop, a car mount, a USB charging cable and an instruction guide. The Boost Pack adds extra glow-in-the-dark track pieces and a second loop, and it has no vehicle of its own, so the bundle has one truck and two loops for it to race through. Both are the same retail boxes we sell on their own, so nothing is left out of either one. If your child wants a rival to race against Blaze, the Crusher TurboTwist Racer is sold separately. -
Does the Boost Pack connect to the Blaze set?
Yes. The Boost Pack is made for TurboTwist sets, and its track pieces and loop snap straight onto the Blaze TurboTwist Racer Set. Kids can build the Blaze set first, learn how the pieces fit, and then add the Boost Pack to stretch the course and send Blaze through both loops in one run. Because the pieces are flexible, there is no single right layout: they can twist the track into a long course, a tight circuit or anything in between, then pull it apart and build something new. Every TurboTwist racer runs on the same track, including Crusher, so the course can keep growing if more sets join later. -
How much do I save compared with buying the two separately?
The bundle costs 10% less than buying the Blaze TurboTwist Racer Set and the TurboTwist Boost Pack separately. The saving is built into the price, so there is no code to enter and nothing extra to add at checkout. You receive the same two retail boxes either way, and the only difference is what you pay for them. If you were already planning to buy the set and the Boost Pack together, the bundle is the simpler way to do it. If your child already has a TurboTwist set at home, the Boost Pack on its own is the better buy, because it connects to the track they already have. -
How do the truck and the glowing track charge?
The Blaze monster truck has a built-in rechargeable battery, so there are no batteries to buy for it. Plug it in with the included USB charging cable, charge it up, and it is ready to race again. The track pieces in both boxes glow in the dark: place them under any light for 20 minutes or more and they will glow when the lights go down. The truck's own lights help too, charging the glowing track as Blaze drives over it. That makes the bundle a good pick for racing after dark, from a bedroom floor at night to a living room with the curtains closed. -
Does it need adult help or tools to set up?
Adult help is recommended for the first setup. The instructions call for a Phillips screwdriver, which is not included, and younger kids may need a hand snapping the first track pieces together. After that, kids can snap, build and change their own race layouts as often as they like. The Blaze truck is built for active play, with rugged tires that handle thick carpet and outdoor ground such as dirt, gravel and grass, so the racing does not have to stop where the track ends. Setting it up together is also a nice chance for some shared time before the first race begins.
