Frequently Asked Questions
-
Does it really smell, and what does it smell of?
Yes. Matcha Squish-Tea is a scented squishy: the sweet scent is part of the squishy itself, not a sticker or a spray, and it comes out most when it is squeezed. There is nothing to apply or refill, and it does not need to stay in its packaging to keep the scent. For most kids the smell is half the fun of a food squishy, and it is the first thing they show a friend. If your child is sensitive to scents, that is worth knowing before you buy, because this one is scented on purpose. The scent does not mean it is food: it is a toy, and it is not for tasting. -
What is inside the cup?
Boba balls. The cup has super-soft sides, and inside the lower half are little tapioca-pearl boba balls that move about as it is squeezed, so from across a room it reads as a cup of bubble tea and up close it feels like a soft squishy with something fun going on inside. There is no liquid, no lid that opens and no straw that comes out: the pink lid and the little straw are part of the sculpt. So nothing can spill into a backpack, and there are no loose pieces outside the cup to lose. It is the detail kids show their friends first. -
How big is it?
The cup is about 2.6 inches across and 4.4 inches tall, which is 6.6 by 6.6 by 11.2 centimeters. That is a hand-sized squishy shaped like a small takeaway cup: a child can hold it in one hand and squeeze, it stands upright on a shelf or a bedside table between games, and it fits in a backpack pocket for car rides and waiting rooms. It is a pale green cup with a smiling face, pink cheeks, a pink lid with a little straw, and pink boba showing through at the bottom. Measurements are approximate. -
What age is it for?
Matcha Squish-Tea is recommended for kids ages 6 and up. There is nothing to figure out and no right way to play: a child squeezes it, smells it, watches the boba move and squeezes it again, so it suits a 6-year-old as well as an older child who collects food squishies. It is an obvious pick for a kid who thinks bubble tea is the best thing on any menu, and at this size it makes an easy small gift, a stocking stuffer or a party favor. It is a squishy first rather than a toy that does anything on its own. If there is a younger sibling in the house, keep this one for the older child. -
What comes in the box, and do I need anything else?
You get one Matcha Squish-Tea Squishy in its colorful gift-ready packaging, and that is everything you need. There is nothing to assemble, nothing to charge and no batteries to buy, because it is a single soft squishy with the boba sealed inside. It is ready to squeeze the moment it comes out of the box, and the scent is already in it. Because it arrives already packaged, it can go straight into a gift bag, a party bag or a stocking as it is, with no extra parts to track down and nothing that can leak in transit.
